Rebecca E. "Becky" Hartung

Rebecca E. "Becky" Hartung, 59, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the MidMichigan Medical Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Petoskey, daughter of the late Philip and Evelyn (Cooper) Hartung.

Becky graduated from Bullock Creek High School and attended the Midland Missionary Church. She loved little children, especially her nieces and nephews. Becky really enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. She loved to talk to everyone. She never met a person who didn't end up being a friend. She loved all animals, especially horses, but cats and dogs, too.

Becky will be missed by her sisters, Loraine Koeppen of Hemlock, and Carolyn Hartung of Lake George; sister-in-law, Gale Hartung of Merrill; special friend, Carl Koeppen of Omer; several nieces, nephews, and biological brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Chandler Hartung.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the Midland Missionary Church, 479 S. Eleven Mile Rd. The Rev. Mark Beers will officiate, with graveside burial rites in Lee Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
