Shane Allen Falkowski, 55 of Midland, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2024 with family by his side. He was born April 27, 1968 in Midland, son of the late Frank William and Kay L. (Breedlove) Falkowski. Shane attended Midland schools, graduating from H.H. Dow High School in 1986. He spent his career working as a Heat and Frost Insulator for Local Union 47 out of Lansing and was a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers. Shane enjoyed finding treasures and making memories while metal detecting with his beloved partner of 20 years, Brenda. He also enjoyed the splendor of the outdoors as he hunted and fished. Always eager to extend his taste palate, Shane enjoyed cooking a vast array of foods. More than anything, he was a family man who cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.
Shane is survived by his devoted companion, Brenda Acklin; children, Allison (Kevin Pastula) Falkowski, Quinn Falkowski, Charles (Dami) Acklin, Peter Acklin, and Emily (Jayson Bernard) Acklin; grandchildren, Freya Pastula, Marla Falkowski, Carter Acklin, Bentley Adams, Harley Adams, and Ariana Bernard; best friends, Garrett and Gayle Bechtel and Tom Trouton; and best four-legged friend, Annabelle.
Visitation for Shane will take place from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider his family through the care of Brenda Acklin.
