I worked with Stephen at DIRECTV in Los Angeles for several years. He was not only a very talented marketing professional - he was also a lovely guy with a great sense of humor and a real team spirit. He will definitely be missed.

Our prayers are with you all. I cherish many fond memories as a young child playing with my neighbor friend Stephen and the kindness he extended to me in college. I will always remember Stephens charm, wit, and terrific sense of humor. Our heartfelt sympathy to you and the entire Rock family.
With love,

Dear Lee and Vicki, My heart breaks at how I can only image you must feel at the tragic loss of Stephen. Although I have only one memory of seeing him in person, it is a very nice one. When visiting your house as a young person I was a bit apprehensive, as I was not a secure child. Stephen was very kind and attentive and made my day. I believe adults retain alot of the attributes they had as children and I'm certain Stephen was a fine man. Please accept our most sincere condolences. Love Dana and Bob

Dear George and Vickie - My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many special memories of Steve from clarinet lessons he took with me in childhood to times that we got together with Cheryl and Jeff in Del Mar and Long Beach. He will be so deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all of us who loved him. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.

George and Vickie,
You may not remember me, but when I was in a very dark and fearful part of my life, you were a great source of comfort. Now I read about Stephen and your family's loss.
I wish I could be with you now to give back, in love, some of the comfort and support you so naturally and generously gave to me those many years ago.
I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet Stephen. He must have been quite a guy. I pray that God will give you and your family the strength and courage to face the days ahead with the confidence that your grief will honor Stephen's memories. I also hope the wonderful memories of Stephen will bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead.
With fond memories of you both,
Paul LaPorte
