BENTON - Eddie Turner, 85, of Benton, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Born Saturday, Jan. 20, 1940, in Cadiz, he was the son of the late Noble Jackson "Jack" Turner and the late Hazel Colson Turner. He was a retired chemical operator at B.F. Goodrich in Calvert City.
Eddie Turner was more than just a father - he was a source of strength, kindness, and unwavering love. He lived his life with integrity, compassion, and quiet humility, always putting his family first. Whether it was his warm hugs, wise advice, or steady presence, he was the rock of our family and the heart of our home.
He was a man who found joy in the simple things - morning coffee, laughter with loved ones, and helping those in need. His generosity, gentle spirit, and deep sense of responsibility touched everyone who knew him.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Patsy Sirls Turner; his daughter, Pam Jarrett of Gilbertsville; grandchildren, James Maze, Jared Turner, Justin Jarrett, Jocelyn Craddock and Jon Maze and eigh great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mitchell Turner; his daughter, Angela Maze; brothers, Jerry Turner and Bob Turner.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Walker and Joe Ed Brooks officiating.
Burial to follow at Union Ridge Cemetery in the Aurora community.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
