BOAZ - Larry Starnes, 82, of Boaz, died Thursday, March 28, 2024, at his home. He was pastor of Oasis Christian Center and retired owner of Starnes's Bar-b-Que.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Yopp Starnes; one daughter, Paula Riley, Mayfield; one son, Tim Starnes, Boaz; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his first wife, Judith Ann Harper Starnes; two sisters; and one brother. His parents were Floyd and Earline Budd Starnes.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with David Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

So sorry to hear. Larry was a wonderful person. I remember working for him and Donald back in the 1979. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bro Larry was such an amazing man of God and one of the most nicest guys in the whole wide world I will definitely miss his sense of humor and kind hearted spirit he always kept me on track and always would read me a scripture out of the Bible I love you and miss you bro Larry may God bless you
