Isabel Figgeroa Obituary

Isabel Figgeroa (Moran) died at home on Nov. 29 surrounded by her family in Watsonville. She was 93.

Mrs. Figgeroa was born on Feb. 1, 1928, to her parents Pastor Moran and Maxima Telles in San Leandro, where she lived in Hayward for 79 years, then moved to Watsonville to live with her daughter for the last 14 years.

She worked for Hunt's Cannery and was dedicated to her family. She was an avid A's and 49ers fan. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles. She loved family gatherings and spending time with loved ones.

Mrs. Figgeroa is survived by her children, Karen Nunes and Janet Casto, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Robert Figgeroa, her daughter, Barbara Figgeroa, her siblings, Paul, Mary Granada, Cecelia Saugar, Phyllis, Peter, Alec, Rosie LaVerne, Ida Roeber, Inez Eastell and Daniel.

A private burial was held at San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California.

Donations can be made to St. Jude, Sutter Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice of Santa Cruz or the Cabrillo College Stroke Center.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carroll Family of Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
