Martha Valadez Obituary

Martha Lopez Valadez passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the age of 79, with her husband and children by her side. Martha was born in Watsonville, California on January 17, 1946 to Juana and Reyes Lopez. A long-time resident of San Bruno, California, she attended and taught Sunday school at the Church of the Highlands. Ten years ago, she moved to Manteca, California to retire with her husband, Salvador. There, she attended Crossroads Grace Church where she loved to bring her family. She had a passion for gardening and hiking; the San Andreas and Skyland Boulevard trails being her favorite. She loved to travel to Mexico, Illinois, Yosemite, and Hawaii.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Salvador Valadez; her sister, Rebeca Gaytan; her three children, Richard Escamilla (Adriana), Timothy Escamilla (Alma), and Marlyn Lopez; and her grandchildren, Rich, Joseph, Gabby, Sebastian, Isabella, Julianna, Nicole, Steven, Daniel, and William; and her great-grandchildren, Ayla, Lilyana, Josiah William, Amina, Marzina, Novaly, Steven Jr., Antwan, and Mari.

The visitation will be on June 12, 2025 from 4-9pm at Cypress Lawn Funeral Home at Newall Chapel in Colma, CA. Funeral service will be on June 13, 2025 from 12-2pm at Newall Chapel.
