James Lear Obituary

James D. Lear Sr.

Richmond - James Dallas Lear Sr. 70 of Richmond passed away April 24, 2018 at his home after a long illness. He was born February 22, 1948 in Sand Gap, Ky to Sherman and Shirley Gentry Lear and lived here all of his life.

He worked in construction and was loved by all.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Judith Ann, four children Tammy (Mike) Sasher of Richmond, Linda Newman of Richmond, James Dallas (Verna Jean) Lear Jr., Roudy Lear of Richmond, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, six brothers and sisters Peggy Swearingen, Donny Lear, Jesse Lear, Anna Mae Hatfield, Douglass Lear, Pete Lear, several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters Marie Lear, Betty Williams, Danny Lear, J.W. Lear, Bonnie Lou Lear.

Services will be 1:00PM Sunday April 29, 2018 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with burial in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stegallberheideorr.com
