Jessica Leigh Lear

Jessica Leigh Lear - age 47, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on February 8, 2026. She was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, class of 1997, in Kingsport, TN. She attended the University of Virginia-Wise, where she earned her bachelor's degree in business and finance. She attended graduate school at Lincoln Memorial University, where she earned a dual master's degree in business and finance. She was a member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority at the University of Virginia at Wise. She was a Senior Business Analyst at Pilot Company Headquarters and held many other roles during her tenure. Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Merle L. Lear; her grandparents, Owen and Ethel Lear of Moab, Utah, and Charles and Emma Taylor of Kingsport, TN; uncles, Lanis L. and Ronald Taylor; and several aunts in Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Ibson, and cat, Chanda. She is survived by her mother, Barbara C. Lear; sister, Christy L. Lear; and brother-in-law, Tim A. Weems, with extended family residing across the United States and Europe. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Bridges Funeral Home.
