Alexander Warga Obituary

A Park Vista High School student appears to have died this weekend after getting sick at band practice at the school, according to friends.
Alexander Warga, a senior at Park Vista High School, fell sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday during the school's band camp, according to a press release from the Palm Beach County School District.
Officials called 911 immediately and Warga was taken to Bethesda Medical Center before being flown to St. Mary's Medical Center.
The district cannot discuss the student's medical status, according to the press release.
School District spokesman Nat Harrington said he could not confirm that Warga had died, but friends of Warga's family and friends of Warga, such as Park Vista High School junior Marisa Rodriguez, confirmed that Warga passed out Friday during the camp and later died.
Principal Reggie Myers was at the hospital and met with the band director, students and their families, according to the press release. Three guidance counselors and three psychologists were stationed on the school's campus today to counsel the 180 band students and any others at the school wishing to talk about the situation.
Warga's family could not be reached for comment. According to the press release Myers met with them today.
Rodriguez, who created one of two Facebook pages honoring Warga's life, is also in the school's band and said Warga was the band's assistant drum major and played bassoon and baritone saxophone.
She said she saw Warga two days before he passed out, but was not there at the band camp when he fell ill.
"Everyone's just trying to push through it," Rodriguez said. "The band is going to do a lot to honor him."

If there is anything of value that Alex had to offer it was the whole person concept. He was kind, respectful, determined, and knowledgeable. He had more potential than most people will ever have in a life time and was a better person than most can ever hope to be. He had many dreams and the ability to decisively carry them out. I know that he will not be forgotten, and more importantly that his life had purpose and meaning. I am positive that he will be happy in the arms of the lord and will be watching over others during his physical absence. He will always live on in the memory of others. My codolences to the family. It was a privelege and an honor to be a friend.

Robin,
I am so deeply sorry to hear the tragic news about Alex. My heart goes out to you for your precious loss. I too, know the unbearable pain of losing a son. It is one of the most devastating experience's a mother can face. It leaves you with so many overwhelming emotions! Your life has suddenly changed forever! But, remembering all the wonderful moments in life you shared with Alex can help to comfort you thru the difficult times. And most of all, may the God of Love sustain you with His promise of HOPE for the future. When He will soon end all suffering on the earth. How do we know this is not just a dream or wishful thinking? Because what HE says always comes to BE.
HOPE; "HE will wipe out every tear from their eyes and DEATH will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said; "LOOK! I am making all things NEW.....these words are faithful and TRUE."

I met Alexander through his sister Paige. Paige was one of my cashiers at Publix. Paige would stop by and say hello during her visits home from college and Alexander would be with her, enjoying her company. When Alexander wanted a job, he came to see me and asked for a position. Any position, he didn't mind working his way up. Alexander didn't just assume the job was his because his sister worked there. Alexander came in dressed professionally and handled himself very well in the interview. The job was his if he wanted it. I remember Robin and Paige being with him, wanting to know how he did on the interview. Alexander was a pleasure to work with from his first day. I will miss his smile, his stories about band and most of all just him. Alexander was the kind of person who wanted to make a difference. And a difference he did make. Love to the Wraga family. I just wanted to send my condolences to the family of this wonderful young man. I have seen Alexander at the Publix that I shop at numerous times, but just 2 weeks ago he took my bags to my car, and we talked about working at Publix. He was the just the nicest kid for his age that I have ever met. When I got in my car I mentioned to my daughter that he was such a nice respectful kid, he made a great impression on me.. I thought about what lucky parents he has. I am so saddened by his passing, My condolences to his family.

I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
And within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
As long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colourful leaves when Autumn's around
And the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
You can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
And you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm every place!

I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Alexander. As a client and friend of his father Pete, I know how close this family is and how much Alexander was loved. Although I never met him, reading the tributes online and hearing his father talk about him, the world has lost an extraordinary young man, a man with the same kind encouraging spirit, and genuine kindness of his father.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
