Arthur BARTHOLOMEW Obituary
Arthur P. Bartholomew, Jr. "Bart" passed away Monday February 17, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born November 20, 1918 in Rochester, NY, Bart was the son of Arthur P. and Abigail (Dawson) Bartholomew, Sr. Bart was predeceased by the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Meyer "Betty" in 1992, whom he met at the University of Michigan where he earned both an undergraduate degree in 1939 and M.B.A. in 1940. His entire career was with Ernst & Ernst, now Ernst & Young, where he retired as Partner in Charge of the Eastern District in 1979. He is survived by his four children; daughter, Susan B. (Stephan E.) Hall of Birmingham, MI; son, Arthur Peck Bartholomew, III (Claudia L. Upton) of Los Angeles, CA; son, James Mark Bartholomew (Zena Hassan Bartholomew) of Pacific Palisades, CA; and daughter, Virginia B. (William McHenry) Keyser of Charlotte, VT. Bart rests comfortably knowing his family spirit will live on in grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Sedda (Greg) Wuller and their son Kearan Rye; William Thomas Krebs II (Colleen); Brooke Bartholomew (Bryan) Crane and their children Carlyle Belle and Caroline Elizabeth; Arthur Peck Bartholomew, IV "Bo"; Bridget O'Connor Bartholomew; Alexandra Nicole Bartholomew and Taylor Dawson Bartholomew. His sister, Doris Noel Weick resides in Pittsford, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, 33 Gleason Street, Delray Beach, FL, on Friday February 28 at 11:00AM. Arrangements are being coordinated by Boynton Memorial Chapel where his full obituary can be found www.boyntonmemorial.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bart's memory may be made to your local Boy Scout troop, The Bethesda Hospital Foundation, P. O. Box 243628, Boynton Beach, FL, 33424 or the Arthur P. I just read with sadness of the passing of your dad in the Greenwich Time newspaper. He was a dear friend and business associate of my dad, Jack Fox, and my mom Pauline Fox. I remember meeting your parents many throughout the years at NAA conferences and Sturart Cameron McLeod Society meetings when travelling with my parents. I remember your dad well.He was find, and funny. I know all too well the pain and sadness of losing a father. He was a wonderful man, and I was lucky to have met your dad through my parents friendship with him. Please accept our deepest condonences from my mother,Pauline Fox my sisters Sue & Denyse, and I.
