DANIEL GLOVER CORNELL Age 60, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2009. Mr. Cornell was born on December 30, 1948 in Meadville, PA. He moved to south Florida with his family at the age of eight. He graduated from Seacrest High School in 1966. After graduation, he served in the US Army. He owned and operated Cornell's Auto Repair for 30 plus years. He was a proud member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge # 3694. Mr. Cornell married his life long friend, Joni P. Fritz. Together, they had two beautiful children, Carl Daniel and Daniella. He felt his children were his greatest accomplishment. His neighborhood will sadly miss their 'Coach Dan', 'Mr. Fix It', 'Mr. Mom' and a great friend who could always be counted on. Survivors include his wife, Joni Cornell; son, Carl Daniel; daughter, Daniella all of Lantana, FL; three sisters, Tona-Lee Carter of Myrtle Beach SC, Kim Gillette and Brandi Cornell of Meadville, PA; two brothers, Robert Cornell and Michael Cornell, of Meadville, PA; three Godsons, Jeremy Sullivan, Daniel Patrick McGill, Stephen Eversold and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loyal life long friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Albert Cornell; his mother, Laura June Cornell; his brother, Reginald Cornell; his sister, Autumn Cornell and most recently his nephew, Bradley Carl Cornell. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 19, 11 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 Lantana Road, Lantana, FL 33462.
