Daniel KINGSFORD Obituary

KINGSFORD, Daniel Parish

Daniel Parish Kingsford, 65, passed away on June 6, 2014 in Wellington, FL. Born in New York City, the son of Anne Dupont and Irving Kingsford, Dan spent his childhood in Princeton, NJ, and held a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University. His longtime career in real estate development, his passion for automobiles and aviation, and many other interests made Dan unique in his breadth and depth of knowledge and a respected source of counsel for his friends and colleagues. Although many of his business interests involved New York City, he called Wellington home. Blessed with a sharp mind, tremendous wit, intense curiosity, loving heart, and a kind and gentle soul, Dan was loved by all whose lives he touched, and there are many. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, but will be remembered as one who lived and celebrated life to its fullest, cherished every moment and was an extraordinary example of the power of positive thinking to us all. His compassion and generosity for friends was central to his strength of character and his deep love for animals, particularly his cherished dogs, was second only to the devotion he held for his wife Judy who survives him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Bolton Center Hospital for Large Animals, Development Office, 382 West Street Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348. A private celebration of Dan's life will be planned at a future date.
