DERRICK L. ELEY, Sr. "Decky" Derrick "Decky" Eley, a resident of West Palm Beach, FL, departed this life on February 19, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and caring mother, Annie Clyde Jackson and step-father, Willie Jackson; loving wife, Wanda Postell Eley; dedicated sons, Brad Eley, Derrick L. Eley, Jr., Derrickis N. Eley; loving and devoted daughters, Kevondra Eley and Sophia Garrett; a princess (as he called her) granddaughter, Starr L. Tucker; Goddaughter, Jaylah Tyson; devoted Godmother, Betty Thompson; caring sisters, Bridget Jackson and Pamela Jackson (Johnny); loving brothers, Willie (Tara) Jackson, Jr. and Bobby Hunter; sisters-in-law, Gloria A. (Fred) Postell-Cade and Lisha Postell-Anderson; Godsister, Michelle Sampson; nieces, Brittany Eley, Mykevia Buckner, Meoshia Eley, Oshay Meyers, Jamie Eley, A'nyia Jackson, Kayse Little, Retevia, Rarshelle, and Rhiana Burns; nephews, James Eley, Jr., Jacolby Jackson, Tobyance Postell, Veren Jackson, Vardo Pullens and Tommie Anderson ; grandmothers, Josephine (Charlie) Kindred and Emma Eley. Celebration Of Life will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Mt. Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1111 36th Street, West Palm Beach, FL, Bishop W. O. Granger, Pastor. Viewing on Friday, 6:00-8:00 PM, also at the above listed church. Derrick was a great man. He did anything he could for anyone. He was truly an Angel here on earth and his star will shine even brighter up above. You will be truly missed. We all loved you. Words alone cannot express my sympathy on the death of your beloved son, husband, father, brother and friend. To say that his time with us was far too short is an understatement. The reality is that he will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
No doubt the outpouring of sympathy you have received since his parting has been of some consolation. Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to you of how well-loved and liked he was.
