We are thankful to have experienced Nunni's affection in our lives. A force of Nature, she had a way of making us all feel individually special & loved. We will be keeping all of your family in our thoughts and prayers. Sending you love.

I'm going to back some biscotti from her recipe and think of all of the fun times we shared :) I'm sure she is up in heaven threatening someone with a wooden spoon and having a reunion with Nanny...

have you ever had that moment where it's complete silence
and in that moment everything turns to slow motion.
ur mind becomes extremely blank,
white like a thick piece of parchment paper
trying to fill up as much space as quickly as
possible before you
notice
you've been sent into a time capsule
and every memory youve ever expierienced with that special person is being projected like a home theater
and you have earned the front row seat in the back of your mind
suddenly you don't feel so special
guilt
starts to set in
every argument
every snide remark
every name called out behind their back
every thing.
naiive of you to think you cld unwish it or take it back before anything wld happen
but it's too late
once it's been said theirs nothing you
could ever
do to take it back
it's
entered limbo and now joins in with all the other nasty things that have been said.
comments that have been shared.
it's a funny thing,..death.
how it just sneaks up, crawls around, and pops out to scare us, but even
for the strong
and the brave, death is scary
even if they dnt admit it or try to shrug it off or plaster fake smiles to make us think their ok
well I caught you
I know your tricks
I've figured you out
you were the most amazing woman in the world and to
me you were my
hero,
my most dedicated supporter
my
biggest fan,
my best friend,
my enemy at times but always the most amazing friend I could ever ask for
my grandma.
you were the one that always stood up for me
you were the one that were always there
for me if I needed
a shoulder to cry on or a place to stay
you
were the one that I could share all my secrets with
you were the one I shared the most and the greatest memories with
you were my grandma
and the best one at it might i add
you always
took care of me when I
was sick,
you were always concerned to make sure I
wore socks on cold floors so I wouldnt catch cold even though I was stubborn and had to learn the hard way most of the time,
or you would always touch my forehead when I felt sick
to make sure I wasn't
running a fever,
you always slept over when I was sick or my
parents were out of town so I didn't haftoo be alone.
you always had a special stash of goodies for me wherever we went together
you made the best meatballs in the
entire world.
you were and
still are the Greatest grandma and most amazing person in the entire
world and I was so lucky to be graced with your presence and have you as my grandma for the 16 years I've been alive
you are special in so many ways to me
and you will always have a place
in my heart and will live on forever in heaven
where you can live happily
with nunnu and all of your family and friends and be at peace
I love you Nunnie always have always will
I will come up to join you someday and
when that time comes hopefully not for
a long time, we can laugh and play games or sit down and watch a good story on
lifetime channel and have fun together once again
but until that time you will be forever in my heart
Love Always
-your granddaughter
