EDITH CLARK QUINN "Edie" Edith (Edie) Clark Quinn, was born on April 20, 1935 in Delray Beach, Florida to the union of Theresa Rolle (Staniel Cay, Bahamas) and Livingston Clark Georgetown, Bahamas) (both deceased). Theresa and Livingston had five children to their union. Their surviving children are James Clark and Kenneth Clark. Edith married the late Clarence Quinn on January 15, 1970. Upon Graduation from Carver High School, Edith sought a profession in the medical field. She graduated from Palm Beach Community College and began her nursing career. In 1968 she became employed by the Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, Florida. While working at Boca Raton Community Hospital she became known as "EDIE" and graduated from Nova University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to her retirement in 1995, Edith was the Head Nurse of the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Edith was a long time member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Delray Beach, Florida. She served as Church Treasurer for many years. She was also a Stephen Minister and Eucharistic Visitor and Minister. She served as Treasurer of the Cursillo Secretariat. Edith established the Scholarship Ministry to assist graduating High School Seniors pursuing a college education. Left to celebrate Edith's life are her son, Thaddeus Clark (Oveta); step-son, Lawrence Quinn (Roxana); special daughter, Corafay Whylly; special son's Craig Miller (Dorothy) and Christopher Kirkman (Kimberly); brothers: James Clark (Ernestine) and Kenneth Clark; grandchildren: Kimberly Clark, Daniella Quinn and Nichole Quinn, great grandson Devoyne Tyrone GoPaul; great granddaughter, Akirra Quinn; Godsons, Spenser Anderson and Barry Dassie; nieces: Sylvia Taylor and Melva Wilson (Earl); nephews: James Clark (Gwen) and Albert Oliver of and a host of family members and friends. The Wake will be at St. Matthews Episcopal Church of Delray Beach, FL from 6:00 to 7:45 PM on Friday, July 3. The funeral will be at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 188 S. Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach, FL at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 4. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the: Edith Quinn Scholarship Ministry at 404 S. I worked with Edie at Boca Raton Community Hospital and I will always remember her wonderful smile and her gracious demeanor. Edie treated her patients and her fellow workers with understanding and compassion. My sincere condolences go to her family and to those who will miss her.
