Ed was a Long Island Boy so I saw quite a bit of him when we weren't at school- we had some good times together!

Having just returned from my 50th prep-school reunion at Choate, I am acutely aware of Ed's contribution to the 1961 Undefeated Choate Football Team, one of only 11 in Choate's history. Photos and videos are posted on the Choate Football Facebook page and YouTube that show Ed's prowess as a football player. I am proud to have have shared this unique season with Ed. He will certainly be missed.

Phyllis, Ford & David: How disappointing to hear we have lost Ed. He was a great guy and one of the best friends I have had--since we met when he was a junior at Choate & I was a senior at Brooks. Could see how Ed was doing every Sunday in the NY Times keyed from his picture & story how he again quarterbacked the Choate football team to victory. I would appreciate David & Ford getting in touch with me. My hearfelt condolences to you all, most sincerely, Ron Barr ([email protected]; 918-743-5593
