In golf, she was a low handicapper and was one of the first women's champions of both the Seminole Golf Club and of the Essex Country Club in New Jersey. Besides Florida, she formerly had homes in Llewellyn Park, West Orange, NJ and East Hampton, Long Island, NY. Her husband, Paul R. Scheerer, was president of the Alderney Dairy Co., and director of several companies including the Fidelity Union Trust and Chubb & Sons Insurance. Funeral services will be private. To Scheerers all:

My mother (Franny Robertson Chandler) just found out. We were in Boca Grande with Aunt Gail (Robertson Stroh Marentette) when Mrs. Scheerer died. My family always referred to her as "Aunt Glad".

I remember her when visiting Granny in Llewellyn Park. I know Mom has talked with Mrs. Babcock, but just wanted to enter something. The opportunity was here, and Mom cannot handle the micro-wave, much less the computer!

My son Jamey is at Brooks with Tiernan. Also want to send good wishes to Jody, whom I haven't seen in years, also Tom. Gail bought Granny's house in LP, and I think of you all whenever I pass the "stable" house and others en route.

Wow - 103!
