Family-Placed Funeral Notice

HENRY H. GAMBLE Mr. Henry H. Gamble “Hank”, 74, of Milford, CT and Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at home in Milford surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Henry Patrick and Lillian Mae Hildebrand Gamble, he was born on June 2, 1932 in Bridgeport, CT. He was President and owner of Coastal Plumbing & Heating until his retirement. Mr. Gamble was a U.S. Navy (Seabees) veteran of the Korean War; he was a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and a lifetime member of The Elks Club. Hank dearly loved his children (who he often referred to fondly as “all of his kidzes”), Anna and her husband Anthony Martone of East Haven, CT, James E. and his wife Lorraine of Meriden, CT, Patricia and her husband Charles Ilioff, Henry J. Gamble, Carol and her husband Jay Brunn, Jeffery K. and his wife Christine Gamble, all of Milford, Hank was also cheerishly loved by his many nieces, nephews, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by everyone. Other survivors include his beloved sister, Lillian Kapitancek, of Jackson, TN, two brothers, Donald Gamble, of Okeechobee, FL, Russell Gamble, of Milford. He is also survived by his devoted best friend, Eleanor Baumeister, of Boynton Beach, FL. He was predeceased by a brother, Cornelius (Neil) Gamble, and a grandson, Marc Guastella. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave, Milford, with an Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford. my uncle hank, self employed, with wife and six children, took in his sister and two children when we had no where to live. treated us as his own . many wonderful memories.thank you again uncle hank.i will always love you. tammy
