Richard Lee Grimmett Jr.

GRIMMETT, JR. RICHARD LEE Muskegon, MI Richard Lee Grimmett Jr., born April 2, 1994 in Muskegon, MI, passed away June 26, 2011. He was joyfully adopted into the union of Rev. Richard and Thelma Grimmett. Richard was a joyful spirit; he had an infectious smile and a great love for basketball, fishing, music and spending time with his nephews who affectionately called him "Uncle Richa". He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a junior usher and a member of the youth choir. He was a junior at Reeths Puffer High School. SURVIVORS:He leaves to cherish his memory; parents, Rev. Richard and Thelma Grimmett; paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Grimmett. Sisters, LaKisha (Rodney) Harris, Detroit, MI, Amber (Michael) Lee, Muskegon, Britney Matthews, Grand Rapids, Tamara Ramsey, Destinie, Doneqwa, and Lenia Grimmett, Muskegon. Brothers, Demetrius, Alvin and Jodeci Grimmett, Muskegon; beloved nieces and nephews, A'Micah, Michael Jr., Richard Terell, Antonio, ShaKiyla, Rheyma and Mi'Chaiah and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, A.W. and Minnie Moore; paternal grandfather, Muriel Grimmett. SERVICES: are Saturday, July 2, 2011, 12 noon at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1964 Russell Rd., N. Muskegon, MI. Visitation will be Friday, 2-6 pm at Toombs Chapel.
