James BABER Obituary
James Clyde Baber III, 64, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 10, 2017. James "Jimmy" was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on August 29, 1952. He moved to North Palm Beach with his family in 1968. He was in the first graduating class of Palm Beach Gardens High School, Class of 1970 where he excelled as both an athlete and a scholar. He then went on to study business at the University of Florida. After college, he immediately went into the family business at Badcock Home Furniture & More, later becoming President. While his true loves were golf and lake fishing, he was tough to beat in anything that involved hand/eye coordination and would take on all-comers at table tennis, regular tennis, billiards, bumper pool, baseball, and basketball, as well as golf. Aside from sports, business was his absolute passion, and he loved the art of the deal. Jimmy had a great love for all of his family members, as well as his friends and his dog Kaylee. He will truly be missed as he climbs his "Stairway to Heaven". James was predeceased by his father James Clyde Baber, Jr. He is survived by his mother Evelyn Baber, brother John Baber, sisters Janet Baber-Parasmo and Sharon Baber-Turner, and many nieces and nephews. A gathering to honor James' life will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Center, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00PM. A reception will be held at the home of Jan Baber-Parasmo following the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donations to the Peggy Adams Animal Shelter, 3100/3200 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida 33409.

Since the 7th grade..Jimmy. Who would have thought you would have been in my wedding 1978. You were a bass magnet and a ping pong wizard but I enjoyed watching you on skis and a snowmobile the most. My condolences to your devoted family. You were one of a kind. May the Father welcome you home.

My heart goes out to you, I am so sorry for your loss, your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim loved being at the lake, fishing, sitting by the fire and going across the lake to eat. He was looking forward to relaxing and enjoying his retirement at the lake. Jim will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the family, Jimmy was a special person to us, taught us how to fish the lakes, enjoyed his smoked ribs and many hours sitting around the fire pit. He will be sadly missed! Rest in Peace Jimmy.

James Clyde Baber Ill, I knew him as Jimmy or Diamond . Favorite memories are on Lake Kissimmee, by far Diamonds favorite place on earth.
For over 35 years we made fishing memories !
Early morning, mid day,or late afternoon , Anytime !
Diamonds favorite bait was Devils Horse, F-109.
I will always remember our Kissimmee lake talks.
And OH how he loved to take that Horse on walks.
