CARLSON, John Henry John Henry Carlson, 46, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in Jupiter, FL surrounded by his family. He was born in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on July 28, 1971 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. He went to high school at Palm Beach Gardens High School and graduated in 1989. John was a kind and compassionate person. As a child, he developed a passion for fishing in neighborhood lakes and canals, and until his passing enjoyed casting off the Blue Heron Bridge whenever possible. As a teen, John was skilled at BMX freestyle tricks and enjoyed karate. He loved being near the water and spending time with friends and family. In a final act of kindness, John has given to others in need through the selfless gift of organ donation. John is survived by his mother, Suzanne Coppens Carlson of Charlevoix, MI, father, Robert J. Carlson and stepmother, Diana Carlson of Jupiter, FL; brothers, Robert H. Carlson of Singer Island, FL and James Carlson of Lantana, FL, sister, Jamie Taylor (Brian) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; uncles Gary Carlson (Kathy) of Palm Beach Gardens, and John Coppens (Jackie) of Sugarland, TX; aunts Mary Jo Kirtland (David) of Stuart, FL, Sherry Price (Jeffrey) of Sevierville, TN, Marianne Coppens of Charlevoix, MI, and Cheryl Coppens Chism (Randal) of Traverse City, MI; cousins Jeffrey Price of Sevierville, TN, Brittany Houk (Bryan) of Sevierville, TN, Missy Carlson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and numerous cousins and relatives in Michigan; niece, Cameron Taylor and nephew, Carson Taylor of Palm Beach Gardens; and many more loving relatives. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert H. and Joan Carlson, maternal grandparents Jack and Mae Coppens, cousins Chris Carlson, Todd Carlson, and Jason Carlson. The family is planning a private celebration of life in Jupiter, FL on Sunday, December 11, 2017. In honor of John, please do a good deed for someone in need.
