John KAUSAL

1939 - 2018

KAUSAL, John John Robert Kausal, 79 years old, of West Palm Beach, FL passed away on October 24, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. John was born in Chicago, IL on May 4, 1939 to the late Milton and Essie Kausal. He was a graduate of North Park Academy in Chicago and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. John was a life member of the Union League Club of Chicago and a member of the Classic Car Club of America. He retired from government service after a distinguished career. In September 1992, John and George Griffin, his partner of 39 years, moved to Palm Beach, FL. They fully embraced the Florida lifestyle and John was very active in his community and his church. He was a member of the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach where he served as an usher and a reader. He is survived by his partner. John will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate gentleman. He never complained as he struggled in recent years with his declining health. A private memorial service will be held at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Church in Palm Beach, FL where John will be interred in the columbarium. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of John Robert Kausal to the American Cancer Society.
