57 years old, of Matthews, NC, and formerly of Palm Beach County, FL, passed suddenly on January 7, 2013. Born in Hamtramck, MI on November 9, 1955, he loved Motown music, golf, boating, football, antique cars, and most of all his family. John was preceded in death by his father, Donald John Miller. John is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sheryl; a daughter, Jaclyn; and his dog, Honey, all of Matthews, NC. Also surviving is his mother, Rita Miller; a twin brother, Jimmy; and four sisters, Trish, Kathy, Donna and Margie all from Michigan; his father and mother-in-law, Shad & Jenn Lee, of Florida; and many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL HOME, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 (561)-832-5171. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 1:00 PM on until the time of Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Jaclyn Janelle Miller Education Fund (Bank of America, 237021850251). Forever in our hearts, dearly missed and loved forever.

This is the 9th year you are gone and it doesn´t get any better.
I golfed last week with Pops and you would have been proud of me. I hit the ball very well. You weren´t there to see it.

My Dearest John,

My dearest JAM, I can't believe it has been a year today since your passing. A year ago today Jaclyn and my life changed forever...you were gone. To Sheryl and JJ, and your family who knew and loved John,
I am truly saddened by this. John was such a nice friend, husband, and father. He was always welcoming to me and Sarah, accommodating to the nines. He could hold a stimulating conversation, but Lord don't get him talking about Obama, cause you are in for it then! I loved our nights by the fire pit in the back yard, and our lazy Sunday mornings. Boy would we eat some food! He loved you guys deeply, and would bend over backwards to please you. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I know that your lives will never be the same, but you will find happiness again, and life must go on. The best advice I was ever given after the death of my brother, was to keep moving, stay busy, pack up reminders so you are not always faced with them, and PRAY. God wants us to come to Him in our times of need. He is the only true light of the world, your biggest alliance, your closest Father. It's times like these where we question His presence, but it's times like these that He is most nearby, most willing to comfort, and most importantly, always with us. Please find solace in God and build a strong relationship with Him. God is your best answer to questions that keep piling on right now. You can lay your hurt, anger, and isolation at His feet, and He will take it all from you if you will allow Him. I know that's probably not what you want to hear now, but it's what you need. Love one another through this process, and you will be stronger than you ever knew possible. I love you.
