Family-Placed Obituary

JOSEPH FRANCIS DONADIO Age 97 of Boca Raton, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was a long time resident of Bergen County, NJ before moving to Boca Raton, FL 15 years ago. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, in October of 1913 and graduated from Manual Training High School, in 1931. He was drafted into the US Army in 1942 where he was a Technician Fourth Grade in the 77th Signal Company of the 77th Infantry Division. While serving his country in World War II, he received many citations, including American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a Bronze Star Medal. In September of 1948, he married Antoinette De Stefano his wife of 44 years who predeceased him in April 1992. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was President of William V. Frankel & Co., Jersey City, NJ, a securities firm where he worked for 30 years. He is survived by his three children, Joseph Donadio and his wife Fran of Boynton Beach, FL, Matthew Donadio and his wife Michaela of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ and Maria Bolton and her husband Gavin of Upper Saddle River, NJ. He is the loving grandfather of Andrea and Joseph Donadio, Katherine, Patrick, Kevin and Chase Donadio, Emma, Lillyand Jack Bolton. He devoted his life to his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
