Uncle Kenny & Aunt Estelle were always so much fun when they visited us in the country of Alabama. I remember him giving me a silver dollar in 1949. That was a big deal to me at that time. In 1952 all six of us kids turned in our dollars to help purchase our first Chesterfield for $100. We now call them sofas or couches. Uncle Kenney was always so handsome and nice. By the time I was old enough and had the funds to travel, he had retired. So I never heard him perform except on record. I always loved the big bands and felt proud that a relative had such talent. My Mother, Ressie Deason (wife of Ganus - brother of Estelle) is 95 and was filled with sadness when she learned of Kenny's passing. Cousins, I love all of you and hope to see you some time. I would love to have your addresses, etc. Email Jane Hannah [email protected] or call 205-926-4006 or write 1369 W. Eoline Road, Centreville, AL 35042

Pop was an inspiration to us who knew him. His life made mine and most of the people I know seem miniscule by comparison. If I can be half the man he was I'll leave this world a happy man. Miss you pop
I miss you, Dad! You will be forever in my heart.

"and so it goes".. a lullaby melody that softens my heart when I am reminded how much I miss you every day since you left... I know you are singing on the big stage now with the bright lights shining on you... your glorious voice still echoes in my head and your sense of humor will be my cherished memories.. Love you Dad forever.. see you again one day.

I miss my Dad so much! I talked to him just about every other day. I still talk to him, but it's not the same ....... He was my confidant and I his.... His dry sense of humor and love for his family was ever present in those conversations. Please fill these pages with your own memories and pictures if you wish. We would all be so grateful to hear from you.
