KENNETH BROOKS MORGAN Passed away on August 1, 2004, after a long courageous battle with pancreatic and lung cancer. He was 77 years old. Born on May 10, 1927 in Blackpool, England, Kenn immigrated to Canada in 1946 at the age of 19, where he resided for five years before moving to the United States. He retired from the USAF in 1973 and moved to Palm Beach County, Florida in 1974, where he was employed at Pratt & Whitney as a graphic artist for 18 years. Kenn retired from P&W in 1992. Kenneth and Shirley Morgan celebrated fifty years of marriage at a party given by their children on October 11, 2003. The event was held at the 303rd Bomb Group Restaurant, West Palm Beach, Florida, and included over 60 guests of family and friends. It is one month Darling

since you passed away

I miss you so much and cry

every day.

I cry at night and in the morn

It is awful feeling so forlorn.

My life without you

doesn't seem real

those who have been through it

know just how I feel.

I always thought we'd grow old

hand in hand

Life is as uncertain

as shifting sand.

To all of you I can only say

love and cherish each other

every day.

I miss you Darling

I always will

till the day I die

I will love you still.

Your loving wife, Shirley

The Morgans were very blessed to have such a warm and honest father as Kenn, and I was honored to have him as my father-in-law. My father died the day after I turned 1-year old, so I assumed that I would never have to endure the pain of losing a father. I was wrong.

Kenn's passing had an emotional toll on me that I can only describe as personal. If I was to know what it felt like to loose a father, I felt that pain that dreadful Sunday morning and I continue to feel that pain to this day. I will deeply miss Kenn, and I will miss his huge presence.

But I am blessed that he and Shirley gave life to a wonderful woman, Kim, my wife of 10 years. And my thoughts are warmed to know that Kenn will continue to live on in our daughter, Sydney, and in the rest of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Kenn, I love you and I look forward to receiving my “thump-on-the-head” when I get to the other side.

Love,

Nicki McKenna

Dearest Kim, Kevin, and Sheri,

I was so sorry to hear about your father. May God continue to comfort each of you and your entire family for your loss. May He keep His arms wrapped around you until you can stand on your own. I pray that God will remind you of the unquestioned love of your father. A love that grew a strong family and a love that has created lasting memories for each and every one of you. Memories will come out of heaven, enjoy them and share them with each other and the little ones so they will also know this wonderful man you called Dad.

Dear Kim, Sheri and the rest of the Morgan Family,

My prayers are with you as you travel through this pain. I know you will find that your memories are gems that warm your soul when you are sad. I wish I knew your Dad. In a way I feel like I did because I know part of his family and I know he shines through them and always will. God bless all of you and hold you up. Your Dad is finally at peace. (Maybe he's meeting up with my Dad and they are laughing about the trouble their kids got into while living in Alconbury!)

Love, Cathy

Kenn, you had a way of commanding an audience but doing so in the most gentle manner. Just looking at your children speaks of the love you gave freely. I pray now for your family and all those that knew you and loved you especially Shirley. May they remember the Peace that you now have. Please put in a good word for us with Jesus and Mary, will you? May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in Peace. Amen

Shirley and Family,

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

August 4, 2004

Dear Shirley and family. I can empathise with your loss pain and suffering. I wish I had known Ken a lot longer but in the time that I have been with Joan and had the contact with your family which I have I feel as if your closeness and friendship has been forever. What coincidence that Ken had the same birthdate (albeit four years difference) as my beloved mother. Is it in the stars? Chris x x x

It is said time heals a broken heart. Your memories of Ken and the love you had and still have for him does not make the healing process any easier but while you have those thoughts and love then he will live forever. It was a privelege and honour to have known him from the time you had in Westleton, England; a good many years ago. God bless you Shirley and your entire family. Joan x x x
