I was thinking back to my childhood and was wondering how my social worker was doing... needless to say this is the information I found. I remember liking him very much he was kind and I trusted him. As a foster child that connection can mean a lot. We moved out of state when I was 6 but I wanted to possibly catch up to let him know how my life had gone I know it may be rough to touch so many children's live and never know what happened to them. Well Larry, i'm okay. I've had some struggles like most people finding themselves after an unstable childhood but i'm doing really well now. I was adopted by the same family you left me with all those years ago. Thank you for everything you did.

I've known Larry from way back when, when we were classmates and intergrated in Jupiter elementary school. Larry was always a very kind spoken and gentle person. To the family keep looking to the hills from where your help comes. Larry will always be a part of your lives, when you feel you have to talk to him, do so because he will always hear you, and be near to help. He will be surely missed from this physical world, but be it known he is well alive in the spirit world. May Oludumare (God) always keep you and bless you.
Larry's classmate and long time friend.

I MET LARRY WHEN I STARTED WORK AT DCF AS HE WAS PROVIDING SERVICES TO MANY DEPENDENT CHILDREN IN PALM BEACH COUNTY.HE WORKED LONG HOURS TO HELP FAMILIES IN FOSTER CARE AND SUPERVISION.MANY FOSTER CHILDREN WILL MISS HIM AS HE WAS ALWAYS PROVIDING SERVICES AND HELP TO THESE FAMILIES EVEN WHEN HE WAS NO LONGER WORKING WITH DEPENDENT AND FOSTER CHILDREN.THE FAMILY SHOULD KEEP IN MIND THE LOVE THAT SURROUNDS THEM,AND FIND STRENGTH IN THE MEMORIES THEY CHERISH,IN FINDING PEACE.

May God be with you and your family and this sad time. I've only know Mr. Garrett by seeing him, but he was always very pleasant, and friendly. God's knows best sometimes our love ones are taken away for a reason, we don't always know nor do we understand.

My prayers are with The Garrett Family. Larry will be greatly missed by his HRS/DCF family. Larry and I had been co-workers since 1994, from the days of on-call when he would have to call me late at night and now when he would come to my desk and request for me to pull up Mapquest when he needed directions to a home.
Larry was a loveable person and would help anyone. I'm going to miss him coming by my desk to Say "Ms. Dee I need a map". It's painful but we always teased and talked about the old day so that's how I will remember my ole pal Larry.
