Lawrence MANSFIELD Obituary
Lawrence Mansfield, age 89, of Lake Worth, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Langeloth, PA to Benjamin and Anne (Kravitz) Mansfield. He was a former resident of Staten Island, NY and attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dentistry. He practiced in Edison, NJ for over twenty years and later moved to Tamarac, FL where he continued his practice until 1997. He was a decorated veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during World War II with over twenty sorties in the European and Mediterranean Theater of Operations. He was very gracious and served "pro bono" as a dentist to the Sisters and children of St. Matthews Church and School in Edison, NJ. He loved to travel to Japan and the Orient. He leaves behind his devoted wife and "love of his life" of sixty years, Muriel Mansfield of Lake Worth. His family includes three sons, Stephen Mansfield of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Gary Mansfield of Aventura, FL and Kenneth Mansfield of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Herman (Bob) Mansfield of Teaneck, NJ; one sister, Sharon Weinstien of Staten Island, NY; and one granddaughter, Hannah Victoria Mansfield of Fayetteville, AR. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:15 AM, Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association, 1511 North Westshore Boulevard, Suite 980, Tampa, FL 33607. Arrangements are under the direction of the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
