LEATHERN EARL COOK09/10/41 – 10/23/07 Age 66 of Greenacres, FL passed away October 23, 2007. Born in Wing, Alabama to George C. Cook Sr. and Vergie Douglas Cook who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Caputto-Cook; stepmother, Mary Palmer Cook of Bayou George, FL who raised him from 2 years old; sons: Travis Dewayne Cook (Debbie) of Trenton, FL, Tony Andrew Cook (Karen) of Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Virginia Cook Steffens (Josh) of Greenacres, FL; five brothers: George C. Cook, Jr. (Loretta) of Wausau, FL, Joseph Kenneth Cook (Rea) of Newton, AL, Archie Leonard Cook (Gwen) of Molina, FL, Rodger Dale Cook (Rhonda) of Hartford, AL and James Roland Cook (Sharon) of Bartow, FL; three sisters: Betty Cook Challacin (Gene) of Ocala, FL, Katrina Cook Hatcher (Wayne) of Bayou George, FL, and Sharon Cook (Tony) of Davie, FL; two grandsons: Andrew Cook and Jeremiah Steffens; three grand daughters, Kacy and Kristin Cook, Jillian Steffens; He was preceded in death by his brother, Wilmer Lee Cook. A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 25th at Suncoast Church of Christ, 5561 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33463.
