Leopold Ablicki Obituary

LEOPOLD MICHAEL ABLICKI Passed away May 21 in Lake Worth, Florida. He was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts on August 7, 1923. He graduated from Chicopee High School in 1940 and served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He was a 1959 cum laude graduate of Western New England College. He was a businessman in Belchertown, Massachusetts where he was the owner of Liberty Orchards, Leopold's Restaurant, and the Town Toggery. He moved to Greenacres, Florida in 1983, where he became a part owner and president of Page Accounting & Tax Service, Inc. He was a member and lector for St. Luke's Catholic Church of Lake Worth. He was a 4th degree knight in the Knights of Columbus of Alhambra of Massachusetts and Florida, former president of the American Polish Club in Greenacres, Florida and formerly served as the Treasurer on the board of the La Pi241;ata Condominium Association in Greenacres, Florida. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Genevieve. He is survived by his five children: Leo of Colorado, Frances of Florida, and Michael, Thomas, and Richard of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. His sister, Loretta Asselin of Massachusetts, also survives him. Visitation will be held Friday (TODAY), May 23, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at the Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Rd., Lake Worth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church on South Congress Avenue in Palm Springs, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Leopold M. Ablicki to the Scholarship Fund at the American Polish Club, 4725 Lake Worth Rd., Greenacres, FL 33463. Dorsey-E.
