Highland Beach - Reidenberg, Louis M. We are sad to announce that Lou Reidenberg died at years 81 of age in Highland Beach, FL on 5/1/2021. Survived by his wife, Pam Westberg; and Daniel and Jeffrey (Kristy), Lou's sons by a previous marriage, and his granddaughter, Taylor. He also leaves behind his wife's son, Air Force Captain Stigen Westberg (Angie) and their children Lyra and Evelyn. Born and raised in Philadelphia, his family moved to Florida when he was in High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Miami then moved to MN for Law School where he studied under Arthur R. Miller. After graduating he clerked at the MN Supreme Court followed by an illustrious and successful private practice for 45+ years specializing in divorce, custody and child abuse litigation. Lou was an author, lecturer and an often-quoted lawyer in the press. He received many awards including Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans and last year he was recognized by his peers and judges as being in the "Top 5% of Lawyers in America". He moved to South Florida in 2000 and became involved with his alma mater, "The U" (University of Miami). He participated in the Citizens Board, the Alumni Association and was President of the Broward County Hurricane Club. He loved Miami football and he and Pam attended countless games together, traveled the world and enjoyed the South Florida weather. While still practicing he helped over a dozen Florida organizations for children as a board member and a volunteer and was recognized in 2014 by the Legal Aid Society with the Emeritus Award "For his knowledge and passion for protecting those who are most vulnerable." His passion for the law also led him to train young lawyers in trial skills such as litigation and depositions. He authored 2 law review articles as well as papers advocating for the right for children to be represented by Lawyers. A Celebration of Life will be held for this incredible man on Tuesday, May 25th at The Gardens Funeral Home of Boca Raton, 4103 N. Military Trail at 3:00 p.m. Lou's family and friends are invited afterwards to the Toscana Condominiums in Highland Beach, 3720 S Ocean Blvd. #101A Masks are required at both venues. In honor of Lou's passion for animals, tributes can be made to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
