Michael MILLER Obituary
Michael Ray Miller, 64 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 22, 2016 at his home with his wife Kathy by his side. Mike was born August 12, 1951 the eldest child of Frank and Juanita Miller. Mike lived his whole life in Belle Glade and for 32 years he served the community faithfully and honorably as a law enforcement officer working his way to the rank of Chief of Police and ultimately the Director of Public Safety. He spent his years after retirement both teaching the Glades Day Chapter of Future Farmers of America and enjoying his four grandchildren. Mike is survived by his dedicated wife of 42 years Kathy, his two children Brandi Schoenfeld and Jon Paul Miller and four grandchildren Kayla, Kirsten, Brandon, and Christopher. Also four siblings Dianne Tillery of Moore Haven, Franky Miller of Belle Glade, Tammy Miller also of Belle Glade, and Anita Kirch of Loxahatchee as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by numerous former and current law enforcement officers that served with him to which he was unconditionally loyal and who continue to carry on that noble profession and do so honorably which made him proud to his last day. Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Belle Glade with a visitation from 4:00PM to 6:00PM and a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Glades Day School Chapter of FFA.
