Paige DUFF Obituary

DUFF, Paige Husted Paige Husted Duff died November 3, 2017, peacefully, of natural causes, at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach. She was only 73, a kid. Paige was born and raised in NYC. She graduated from Rosemary Hall and Briarcliff College before a career as a publicist and decorator. She married Tony Duff in 1985, a retired WW2 and Pan Am pilot. They traveled extensively before moving to West Palm Beach in 1989. Here and in Southampton they led rambunctious lives. Tony died in 2011. Paige always said, "The third act ain't for sissies." And she was no sissy. She was brave in the face numerous challenges. She was good-natured with an easy laugh, a big smile and was known for her kindness and generosity, except to valet car parkers. Paige often hosted parties for a gang she called "The bad boys of Palm Beach," a motley crew whose company she enthusiastically enjoyed. She also enjoyed riding through Publix in a motorized cart, Dewar's and soda, Marlboro Lights, and a steak so rare she would request it to be "dragged through the kitchen" at McCarty's. Paige is survived by her brother, Bill Husted of Denver, and four evil step-sisters, including Barbie Claggett of Palm Beach. She was an active member of Bethesda-by-the-Sea. In lieu of flowers, have a drink to her memory and a steak and "drag it through the kitchen."
