Family-Placed Funeral Notice

PAUL DECKER GRAEBNER Born July 19, 1917, son of Dr. Edward and Evelyn Graebner. Beloved husband of Janet. They enjoyed 67 years together. Survived by son Clark Edward Graebner, daughter-in-law Patricia, and four grandchildren that were thoroughly enjoyed by their grandfather: Cameron Mark, Clark Edward Graebner Jr., Barclay Corporan and step grandchild Christopher Bumgarner and ten great grandchildren. Paul was a graduate of Lakewood High School, Kenyon College and Western Reserve University Dental School. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity. Tennis was his greatest athletic interest and he excelled at it both in local, state, national and international events. He won many titles in each of these divisions. He was a member of the International Tennis Club as well as being a nine time member of the Gordon Trophy Team that was played annually between the United States and Canada. Paul was a devoted Christian and had accepted the Lord as his Savior. He taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon and Chairperson of the Missionary Board of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, and was always eager to share his faith. Paul served in WWII in the Naval Dental Corp in the Pacific Theater. He (Paul) spent many hours teaching his son Clark the game of tennis and both benefited greatly from their companionship, and Paul was very proud of his son's tennis accomplishments throughout the world. Memorial Service will be held at Abbey Delray South on Monday, February 26 at 2:00 pm, 1717 Homewood Blvd., Delray Beach, FL. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Palm Beach.
