Family-Placed Obituary

RANDALL RALPH PIERSALL "Road King Randy" Randall Ralph Piersall, "Road King Randy", beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 6, 2012. He was born in Cobleskill, NY on November 20, 1951 to Joan and Ralph Piersall of Richmondville, NY. The first five years of his all too short life, were spent with his beloved maternal grandmother Anna Burr, "Gerber", in Briarcliff, NY. Randy then joined his mother and father, and grandparents on their farm in Richmondville. In 1969 Randy earned his certification as an Auto Mechanic, to later become a Master Mechanic. Upon graduation from high school in 1970, he immediately joined local Union 106 of the Operating Engineers. In 1980 he attended Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Randy began his work in the nuclear construction industry while working as a civilian, with the United States Naval Ship Yard in Albany, NYC. A career that was to span 40 plus years traveling throughout the US making his permanent home in West Palm Beach, FL. Randy's love of automobiles inspired him to race and win his class, in Miami, FL, continuing his racing career with sponsored races in Costa Rica. Randy's commitment to the principles and values of union, fair play and brotherly love inspired him to constantly think of others in need of jobs. Networking for the good of his fellow union brothers and sisters, always seeking to contribute to the betterment of his local Union. Her "Gentile Giant," as his wife Linda calls him, was a generous, courageous, empathetically loving man. Together they enjoyed their motorcycles, traveling to Sturgis SD, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas all the way up the east coast to Canada. Randy's battle with cancer ushered him into his eternal resting place with his Heavenly Father, as he would say, "he's the son of the King"! He leaves behind his beloved wife Linda, sons Scott and Nathaniel (Kerry) Piersall, sisters Lynn Crow and Jill (Kerry) Campbell, brother-in-law Danny Cardona, granddaughters Kate, Natalie and Stephanie, grandson Benjamin Piersall, nephews Thomas Bradley, Dustin Campbell, Adam Kuhn, nieces Kristina (Milos) Pavlovich and Sara Piersall. My heartfelt love and deepest sympathy to Randy's family. I'm Kerry's sister, that was married to the late Jill Piersall Campbell (Randy's sister). I'm still close to Kim's daughter, Sara Piersall Rossetti, Randy's niece. God bless. ❤

Linda and Lynn, we are sincerely sorry for your loss. As a small child Randy had a fun loving and mischievous spirit. He kept my brother Ken on his toes when we would come to visit. He grew to be a kindred spirit with his love of his bike and riding. We regret that we all did not live closer to know him better as an adult. Our love and sympathy to you all!

I was always touched with Randy's quiet sincerity and patience with others. May I always remember his consistent and simple example as I too travel the roads in life. How he and Linda so touched me when they married so very very early in the morning on Christmas day.

My prayers go our to Randy's family and friends who are left behind. Randy was my best friend and the big brother I never had. I will and already do miss him sorely. We go back over 20 years or more. We worked together and played together, riding Harley's and racing cars. Until we meet again, save me that parking space... Your Loving Brother... Chauncey
