ROBERT BLACKMON WESTBROOK, Jr. 52 years old, of Jupiter, FL, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital following a hemorrhagic stroke. Born in Statesville, NC on October 6, 1959, he was the son of Robert B. and Ida Verlene K. Westbrook of West Palm Beach, FL. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sisters, Ann W. Reiners (husband, Rockford J.) of Vienna, VA, and Ida Marie Westbrook of Jupiter, FL; a nephew, Mitchell Reiners of Arlington, VA, and a niece, Robyn M. Reiners of Warsaw, IN. He was a graduate of Forest Hill High School, Class of 1977, and Florida State University, Class of 1981. He was a life long member of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches. Bobby worked in hospitality, music and most recently with Walgreens Drug Stores. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed fishing, traveling and playing basketball. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL HOME, 1201 S. Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, with the Rev. Kent Crow, Sr., Pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM on Sunday until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, 3200 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL, 33409. I got to know him for a short time while he was my exa at Walgreens back in 2007 when my store used to be 1788. I got to see him again during our inventory time this year at my store and it was nice to get to see him. My blessings go out to his family. Dear Mr.and Mrs. Westbrook, Ann and Marie,
My heart hurts for you all. I will always remember Bobby (sorry, can't call him Bob), for his sweet, softspoken disposition. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. Although I know he is in a much better place, he will be greatly missed here on earth and never forgotten by his old friends and classmates. May God bless you all and bring you comfort.
