I too was a patient of Dr. Dudan's. I respected him so much. He was an excellent doctor and a gentle human being. I know there is a special place in heaven for those who have done so much good for others here on earth.

Jane,While I did not have much time to get to know "Doc" it was easy to recognize he was someone I wish I had meet sooner as I would have enjoyed being around. His medical achievements are obvious but his boating passion made him a visionary when he founded Venture Marine and built the biggest open center console fishing boat ever built when others wouldn't dare and today the industry copies his accomplishment of building "The Best Center Console Boat Ever Built" Jane we will miss "Doc" at Venture but his boat Co will live on. Our prayers are with you and your Family Larry Kelleher

If one had never met Dr. Dudan, they only need read the wonderful notes and letters written here to know what a great doctor he was. More than once he gave me the advice and "push" I needed to make the best choices for my health and my daughter's.
If one had never met Ron Dudan, they missed knowing a man that loved life, loved to fish, and most importantly loved his family.
To Jane, Kim, Tricia, and Beth: May your memories of all the happy times over the years bring you comfort and peace.
To Trey, Taylor, Tanner, Emily, Elizabeth,Edwin, and Erin: I know you will miss your grandpa, but know that you were very blessed to have all those times with him, cherish and remember all that he taught you so you may one day pass those lessons on. He will always be with you...

I was also a patient of Dr. Dudan's in 1988. I had a high risk pregnancy and he really took care of me! He was so easy to like, sometimes gruff, but always a wonderful person who really cared about his patients. He talked about his family frequently and you could tell he was a good family man! May God bless him and the wonderful family he has left behind.

Dear Jane and Family:
I barely know what to say. I loved this man. As you know, you can add me to the list of women that Dr. Dudan saved. In 1996 he diagnosed me with cervical cancer. I'll never forget what he said, or should I say sang...when he met me in his office. It was well Sue, "there's trouble in River City." I can't listen to that song without thinking of him to this day. My family and I were devisted to hear the news because my dear mother-in-law had passed away from a 12 year battle with breast cancer the year before which left us and our two daughters terrified! Doc immediately arranged and performed a flawless radical hyst. and got rid of the cancer! I remember you telling me how lucky I was. When I found out he was going to retire before I made it to the 5 year mark, I didn't know what to do. How could I get through without him caring for me? That's selfish I know but I just didn't think we could cope with with anyone new. However, in true gentleman form, he gave me every phone number he had so that I could reach him here, there or across the ocean, if I ever needed him. Seven years later the cancer returned exactly where he said it would if it was ever going to come back. When I found out, I immediately called Doc and he conferred with my soon to be surgeon which I have to say was a total comfort. The last time I saw Ron, you, he and the family were enjoying a birthday lunch at the club. Jane, I will never forget him and all the wonderful things he has done to help me, my family and so many other women. If there's boating in heaven, Ron's gone boating! All our love - God Bless you and your family. I'm sure your grandchildren know what a super special man their Grandpa was! I know we did.

I was sad to learn of Dr. D's passing. My mother and I were his patients for many years. In addition to his exceptional skill, he always demonstrated the greatest care and compassion. Without his patience and persistence, I would have passed years ago in my mid-twenties of ovarian cancer. He had an amazing bedside manner with me. I will never forget one of the times I was recovering at Jupiter Hospital after one of many surgeries. He came in while I was eating breakfast- a stack of pancakes - drenched in butter and syrup. He looked at those pancakes like a parched man in the driest of deserts. He commented that they looked really good. I offered to share, but he said that he couldn't because he was on a restricted diet to control his sugars. I told him I was sorry, and he said that he was too. We laughed as I tried to find a pancake underneath that was not dripping in butter and syrup. He just always shared his human side with me, as I am sure he did with all of his patients. In addition to owing him a huge debt of gratitude, my family and I owe your family that as well, because you stood by him and sacrificed a lot of time with him so that he could give that time to his patients. Your love and support made him not only a better surgeon, but also a greater man. Thank you for that. He will be missed.

"Doc" was a great doctor and an outstanding person. I watched him help many folks time and time again while with him in the Bahamas over the summers. He will be missed.
