Barbara Martin-Nadeau Obituary

Barbara L. Martin-Nadeau age 65 of Blythe, CA went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2018 after a very short battle with an incredibly invasive lung cancer.

Born June 28, 1952 in New York. Survived by her loving husband, Mark Martin-Nadeau, son and daughter Mark Nadeau Jr. (and Christine) and Naomi Scott (Nicolas Scott),four fantastic grandchildren, Isaac, Elisha, Esaias and Lilly, whom she loved very much.

Barbara moved to California with her parents Robert and Evelyn Schneider, sister Judy Schneider in 1957 to Ontario Ca. Barbara graduated from Chaffey High School in 1972 and would later move to Blythe, making it her home. She took a great deal of pride in her town. She was very involved in community events, she loved her river, she loved her community, and loved laughter. You could always find Barbara involved in just about every event taking place in Blythe, from auto racing to supporting the Yellow Ribbon Committee. Supporting the Military, especially the Veterans was always near and dear to Barbara's heart. She would always say that her "favorite color was Red, White & Blue." She will be greatly missed by many.

Barbara's Celebration of Life will be held on September 15, from 1:00-3:00 pm. At the Blythe Fairgrounds. The Family asks the river attire only be worn (i.e. t-shirts, shorts, swimwear, flip flops). In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family or fairgrounds.

Barbara was a very good friend of mine. Even though we were the same age she was like a big sister. When I was having rough times she always would call and check on me. Then she got me involved in the Riviera group, which they are fun loving caring people. I will miss her laugh and kindness it will be so different not having her at the events. Love you Christine Herron my love and prayers goes out to her family, if you guys need ANYTHING just call.
