Johnny Nash Obituary

John Nash, our husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great- grandfather passed away April 22, 2025, after suffering a major heart attack in Vacaville, Ca.

John was born March 5, 1944 in Gideon, Missouri, to Charles Edward and Delma Bea Nash. In 1958 the Nash family moved to Blythe, California, where John attended school and later graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1962. During his high school years, he was a standout athlete, playing all four years on the varsity football team and also competing in track and field.

John and his brother Ray owned & operated Nash's 4 X 4 on South Spring Street for a several years. He also worked as a meat cutter for Safeway and Alpha Beta in Blythe before eventually relocating to Vacaville, California where he lived and worked for the remainder of his life. John retired from AT&T as a Manager of Cell Tower Operations.

In later years, John developed a passion for restoring classic cars. He lovingly restored several, naming each one, and often replaced them as new projects caught his eye.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Amy, his daughters, Jonna Robinson and Vikki Nash, his brother Ray Nash (Shirley), his grandchildren Danielle Chrystene Horwitz, Haley Rene Shaffer, Alaina Watson, Lance Watson, Cory Watson, Jacob Robinson.

He also leaves behind great-grandchildren: Nash Jacob Horwitz, Marley, Reagan, Eleanor and Maeve.

Additionally, he is survived by several nieces and nephews: Dennis Nash, Steven Nash, Cheryl Nash Gunter, David Barron, Jack Barron & Marlo Barron Fleck. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Donald Nash and his brother Charles Nash.

In accordance with John's wishes, no services will be held. Due to the distances between family members, each will honor his memory in their own way.
