BLOOMINGTON - Donald Joseph Brendley Jr., of Bloomington, Ill., was born April 4, 1957, in Belleville, Ill., and passed away February 3, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply.

Donald was a devoted husband to Terri Brendley and a proud father to Christopher Brendley. He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Nikki Frank; and his father, Donald Brendley Sr. He is survived by his mother, Delores Brendley; and brothers Keith, David, and Craig Brendley. He was a loving grandfather to Jayden (9), Savannah (2), Khyson (1), and baby Christian (2 months), who brought him endless joy.

A devoted Catholic, Donald lived his faith through kindness and generosity. He retired from Clinton Nuclear Power Station as a Training Manager, where he was respected for his dedication and leadership. He enjoyed collecting model trains and treasured life's simple moments, especially time spent with family.

Known for his warm heart, quick humor, and gentle spirit, Donald made people feel welcome and loved. He will be remembered as a man who gave freely of himself and whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation for Donald will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington. Following the service burial will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington.

The family suggests memorials to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
