Erna Jane Post

DANVERS - Erna Jane Post, 98, of Normal, formerly of Danvers, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at The Arc at Normal.
There will be a funeral for Erna at 11:00 AM Tuesday July 9, 2024, at Otto-Argo-Calvert Funeral Home at 111 West Park Street in Danvers. There will be a visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Danvers.
Erna was born in Hartsburg, IL, on July 29, 1925, to Edward and Lena Hellman Luken. She was one of twelve children and the last surviving sibling in the family. She married John Post in Emden, IL, on March 1, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her son Floyd Post.
Surviving are six children: Faye (Wayne) Fisher of Bloomington, Marlene (Lee) Miller of Morton, Jerry Post of Galena, MO, Cheryll (Jim) Duvall of West Plains, MO, Dawn (Dave) Mulford of Sumrall, MS, and Eric (Jenny) Post of Danvers as well as fifteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Erna was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Danvers. She was an avid BINGO player, enjoying the game for more than fifty years on a regular basis. She worked in the factory at Eureka-Williams in Bloomington for thirty-two years, retiring in 1990. Erna was also an active member and officer for UAW Machinist Lodge 1000.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
