Frank was born on August 28, 1935, in Marion, KS, to Rudolph and Treva (Duke) Knackstedt. He married Donna Hildreth on August 11, 2000, at Cornell Methodist Church. She survives in Pontiac.
Also surviving are his children, Frank (Janet) Goetzfridt of Blue Springs, MO, Kelley (Mark) Hatfield of Lee's Summit, MO, Timothy (Erin) Knackstedt of Geneseo, IL, Karolynn Schwartz of Washington, IL, Barbara (Dave) Masching of Van Buren, MO; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Frank was educated at Marion High School. He was in the United States National Guard for six years. He was employed as a salesman for 30-plus years and bus driver for 15 years.
Frank's true passion was music. His love of music began at four years old when he received his first guitar. He went on to perform his music all over the country, known by his stage name "Frankie Reb." Throughout his life, he performed at many notable venues like Tootie's and Robert's in Nashville. He spent time as a frontman for George Jones, and interacted with notable stars like Bill Anderson, Roy Clark, Patsy Cline, and many more. This love of music has been passed on to all the people in his life, especially the grandchildren that have been entertained by "The Puppy Dog Song." That love of music shall live on for generations.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Donna Knackstedt at First Financial in Pontiac, IL.

Uncle Frank was always a joy to be with. When Grandad Rudy and Frank and family got together on a Sunday afternoon after fried chicken and began playing and singing- that was close to heaven!
