Gerald D. Doyle, aged 86, of Bloomington, IL, and formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully at 4:49 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Luther Oaks in Bloomington. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a private inurnment will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials be made to Alzheimer's Research or The Humane Society of Central Illinois. Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington is entrusted with the cremation arrangements.

Gerald was born on July 30, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Charles Paul and May Olive Hawkins Doyle. He shared a loving marriage with Jacqueline Walter, whom he wed on June 4, 1960, in Cincinnati. Jacqueline survives him, cherishing the memory of their enduring partnership.

Gerald is also survived by his two devoted children, Mark Doyle and his wife, Julie of Bloomington, IL., and Kim Weist and her husband, Robert of Naperville, IL. His legacy continues through his four beloved grandchildren, John Doyle and his wife, Ellie of Springfield, IL., Jennifer Zweigel and her husband, Sterling of Noblesville, IN., Megan Beaty and her husband, Haden of Chandler, AZ,. and Emily Weist and her partner, Cooper Sargent of Warrenville, IL. Gerald was also a proud great-grandfather to Piper, Blair, and Anderson.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gerald's life was marked by service and dedication. He served honorably in the US Air Force, contributing to the nation's security. After his military service, he pursued a career as a sales manager for industrial machine tools, where he was known for his professionalism and leadership.
