Helen E. McGinnis

September 10, 1931 - August 8, 2025

Helen E. McGinnis, 93, of Minier, Ill., passed away 9:45 a.m., August 8, 2025, at Goldwater Care, Clinton, Ill.

Private family burial at Orendorff Cemetery, Hopedale, Ill., will be at a later date. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Ill., assisted the family with cremation rites.

Helen was born September 10, 1931, in Delavan, Ill., the daughter of William and Edna (Cremeens) McCoy. She married Don McGinnis September 21, 1948, in Pekin, Ill. He passed away January 9, 2014.

Survivors include her children, Sally Mehrer, Dennis (Margaret) McGinnis, Doug (Sarah) McGinnis, and Jerade (Jennifer) McGinnis; 30 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Ronnie McGinnis, Bill McGinnis, and Andrea Graham; her brothers; and a sister.

Helen was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
