James R. Hardesty Jr.

March 24, 1952 - April 24, 2024

LEXINGTON - James R. Hardesty Jr., 72, of Lexington, passed away on April 24, 2024.

Cremation has been accorded and graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lexington with Pastor Kendall Coffman officiating.

Memorials may be given to McLean County Humane Society. Calvert-Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.

James was born in Normal, IL, on March 24, 1952, a son to James Rudolph and Ruby Alice Brown Hardesty.

He is survived by two daughters: Jessica (Todd) Thigpen, Trinity (Mark) Niskanen; five grandchildren; two sisters: Mary (Duane) Gardner, Karen (Robert) Ralston; and sister-in-law, Debra Hardesty. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert L. Hardesty.

Jim graduated from Lexington High School. He served in the United States Army from 1971-1986.
