She is survived by her daughters, Janel Ford of Bloomington, Illinois, Angela (Timothy Miracle) Schoon-Miracle of Normal, Illinois; and son, Perry (Kelly) Schoon of Normal, Illinois and Minneola, Florida. She was a cherished grandmother to Trenton (Molly) Ford of Mahomet, Illinois, Kendra (Thomas) Meismer of Normal, Illinois, Rylee Schoon of Minneola, Florida, and Sawyer Schoon of Normal, Illinois. She was a great-grandmother to Garrett, Theodore, and Isla. Also surviving are Jan's siblings, Mary Lee Becker of Vernon Hills, Illinois, Jerry Hahn of Vernon Hills, Illinois, Alan (Roberta) Hahn of Washington, Illinois, Steve (Diane) Hahn of Chillicothe, Illinois, Jim (Jane) Hahn of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Norman Hahn of Spring Bay, Illinois, Gord (Kari) Hahn of Benton, Arkansas; and her sister-in-law, Verla (Robert) Hinton of Springfield, Illinois. She had many nieces and nephews.

Jan was a conscientious worker, employed by several local places while raising her family in Roanoke, including Sowers Elementary School and the Roanoke Post Office. She was a very proud postal worker. She and Eldon passed along their sense of humor and strong work ethic to each of their children. She was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
