March 13, 1977 - April 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason Michael Sage, 48, of Chicago, Ill., who died on April 28, 2025. Jason was a beloved son, brother, dedicated friend, and passionate advocate, impacting the lives of many.

A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, with a memorial service at 1 p.m. all at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home LeRoy, Ill. Inurnment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy, Ill. Memorial Donations in Jason's honor may be made to Breakthrough T1D (formerly known as JDRF) or The Baby Fold.

Born on March 13, 1977, in Champaign, Ill., Jason was known for his ability to play many roles in the lives of those around him, bringing love and laughter wherever he went. Whether as an uncle, friend, or caretaker, he approached each role with great love and dedication.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Marsha Sage; sister, Nicole (Kenneth) Umstattd; niece, Lexi (Clint) Forrest; great-niece, pride and joy, Isabella "Izzy" Forrest; nephew, Andrew Umstattd (Kaylee Hubbard). Aunts, Donna (Jeff) Johnson, Vick (Ed) Kline, and Marilyn Rutledge. One uncle, Chuck Sage; and inherited sister, Susan Little. He leaves behind many cousins, friends, colleagues and his Chicago family who loved and adored him.

He is preceded in death by his cousin, Troy Rutledge; aunt, Pat Lange; uncles, Howard Rutledge and Steve Sage; maternal grandparents, Marian and Delmer Boog; and paternal grandparents, Dick and Pearl Sage.
