FAIRBURY - Kenneth D. Fehr, 83, of Fairbury, passed away at 6:21 a.m., February 2, 2024, at Richard Owens Hospice, Peoria.
His funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Church. Ministers of the church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 -8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 - 9:45 a.m., Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Kenneth was born November 6, 1940, in Fairbury the son of Rueben and Carolyn (Walter) Fehr. He married Linda Weber in 1961. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Jeff (Caralee) Fehr of Lexington, OH, Lori (Ryan) Steidinger of Punta Gorda, FL, and Jacki (Aaron) Masters of Bloomington; grandchildren: Tyler (Crystal) Fehr, Jessica (Zach) Kurtz, Samantha (Derek) Hensley, Jordan (Tessa) Fehr, Trevor Fehr, Shelbi (Jonny) Wellwood, Collin (Katie) Steidinger, and Taylor Steidinger; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Darlene Stork of Chatsworth, Wayne (Carol) Fehr of Fairbury, Lou Ida (Ron) Mueller of Forrest, Warren (Shirley) Fehr of Fairbury, Kathy (Lynn) Slagel of Pontiac, Patricia (Donnie) Menold of Sabetha, KS, and Susan (Rick) Mastronardi of Bloomington.
Kenneth began farming and worked for Nussbaum Trucking. He then owned and operated with his wife, Linda's Pizza Pan in Fairbury. He then retired as owner and operator of Fehr Real Estate, Fairbury.
He was a member of the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Church.
Kenneth loved his family. He was a wonderful and devoted husband. He adored and enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great-grandbabies. Kenneth especially loved teaching them to fish.
He appreciated the outdoors and spent time planting trees.
Kenneth did not know a stranger, conversating with anyone he met, but most of all Kenneth loved his LORD.
