Michael Shane Brooks
December 9, 1970 - June 9, 2024
NORMAL - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Shane Brooks, who died at home with his family on June 9, 2024, at the age of 54.
Mike was a friend to everyone he met and could always crack a joke, no matter the circumstance. His pop culture knowledge was unmatched, and he could enjoy a movie of any quality, as long as he had someone to laugh with.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry; and leaves behind his mother, Kathy; his sister, Kelly; his "little sister," Ariana Miller; and his beloved dog, Murphy.
He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Leroy, IL, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
